If you’re one of the millions of people who kick-start start their day with a good cup of joe, you’ll be happy to know that this much-loved beverage has some notable health benefits. According to Healthline, coffee can improve your energy levels (no surprises here), help you burn fat, and improve physical performance. They also state that coffee is high in antioxidants, may lower stroke risk and may even help you live longer.
That’s great news for coffee lovers, but what about quantity? How many cups of coffee is safe to consume per day? According to the USFDA, 400mg of caffeine is an amount “not generally associated with dangerous, negative effects.” That works out to around four or five cups per day. And while recommendations vary, recent research seems to suggest that, at least when it comes to heart-related health benefits, four cups is the magic number.
More good news for those of you who live at One on Whiteley or work in Melrose Arch is that you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to getting your daily cuppa – or four. Here’s a look at some of the popular coffee spots situated in the precinct.
